Pride Month is celebrated in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising of 1969 and to celebrate the LGBTQ+ commuity’s contributions, struggles, and path toward equality. It is a time for parades, parties, and educational events to recognize LGBTQ+ history, affirm the community’s existence, and promote equity.
