Grateful Gathering

A Joliet Friendsgiving Tradition

The holidays are a time for connection, but for many in the LGBTQ+ community, “traditional” family gatherings can be complicated. That’s why the Joliet Pride Network hosts our annual Grateful Gathering—a Friendsgiving celebration dedicated to chosen family, good food, and authentic community.

Our Grateful Gathering is more than just a meal; it is a safe, inclusive space where everyone can show up as their full selves. Whether you’re looking for a primary holiday celebration or just want an extra afternoon of laughter with friends, you are welcome here.

We believe that no one in the Joliet area should have to spend the holiday season feeling isolated. This event is designed to foster new friendships and strengthen the bonds of our local network.
