JPN Movie Night – Marty Supreme

Marty Supreme is a film about a young 1950s ping pong player, Marty Mauser, who aggressively pursues greatness in the sport. The plot follows his journey through the world of competitive table tennis, including a “transactional” affair with a film star and other schemes to prove he’s the best. Timothée Chalamet stars in the title role, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher in supporting roles. The film is loosely based on American table tennis player Marty Reisman.
